Completed Upgrade: Drupal Events Migration

November 7, 2023

Migration of event and calendar information from the old BUCMS to Drupal was successfully completed this afternoon, November 7. Thank you for your patience as we’ve implemented this key element of our new systems.

Going forward, you must use Drupal to manage your public calendar. Please take some time this week to login to your website and review event information there. If events are missing or incorrect, or if you just have questions, please let your web consultant know.

  • Due to the nature of these changes, your website may temporarily be slower as the entire website cache is rebuilt.
  • Inside of the Drupal administrative panel, you may notice duplicate references to Events. We will clean up vestiges of the two systems over the next few days.
  • While the team migrated event information, categories, and syndicated content, it’s possible some information wasn’t fully copied over. If you notice something is missing or have other questions, please contact your web consultant.
  • For the time being, you will continue to have access to archived event data in the BUCMS. No data was deleted during this conversion.

As you start managing events in Drupal, you can find documentation for the new Drupal-based event system on the Drupal resource site. These are great resources if you need a quick refresher.

And lastly, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your web consultant. We’re happy to help!
