Workflow States

Workflows describe the status of content and allow content managers to begin writing content in draft and subsequently publish it when the content is ready for public consumption. 

  • Draft
    • Visible to: authenticated/authorized users
    • Menus: Displayed in menus, if authenticated/authorized content manager
    • News: Not displayed in lists / cards / search
  • Published
    • Visible to: all site visitors
    • Menus: Displayed in menus
    • News: Displayed in all lists / cards / search
  • Hidden (used for events and news)
    • Visible to: all site visitors
    • Menus: Not displayed in menus
    • News: Not displayed in lists / cards / search
  • Unpublished
    • Visible to: authenticated/authorized users
    • Menus: Displayed in menus, if authenticated/authorized content manager
    • News: Not displayed in lists / cards / search. Requires authenticated/authorized content manager to view.
  • Mothballed
    • Think of this like the "Recycle Bin" (on PC) or "Trash" (on mac)
    • Visible to: authenticated/authorized users
    • Menus: Not displayed in menus
    • News: Not displayed in lists / cards / search
