Helpful Hints
Tips and insights about how to use the Drupal CMS.
General Hints
- When using Drupal, avoid using the back button or refreshing a page after you've created or updated content.
Caching
Caches are important part of websites and store data for faster content delivery. Websites visitors will find web pages to be faster and more responsive, but content managers may see delays when updating content.
As a content manager, if you are noticing delays with content updates:
- News content may take 20 minutes for updates to appear.
- Page (basic and landing) content changes may appear instantly, but as more changes are made across the platform, you may see a lag.
If you have questions about your cache, please contact your web consultant.
Site Structure
- When building Drupal websites, add new pages to the menu structure when creating the pages. This will ease the process of building your website.
